The Struggle Is Real

There’s something spiritual, sacred, fulfilling, and downright fun about mountain biking. It’s an addiction, except that the side effect is a healthy lifestyle. It is a sport and hobby of risk. If you’re not getting hurt out on the trail you’re probably not pushing yourself enough. Since I don’t like pain, I usually ride to the upper limit of my comfort threshold and just kind of stay there. I have a family to take care of, for crying out loud. Nonetheless, I still ride, and take risks.

Why Coffee Should Be Enjoyed Outside

Sleeping outdoors is fun whether car camping, bikepacking, or backpacking. But let's be honest. When you really think about it, "camping" is simply reducing our quality of life for a night or two. We move from sleeping in comfortable beds in climate-controlled rooms to sleeping on thin sleeping pads hoping we removed the bigger rocks underneath. And then there are bugs and the night was colder than we had anticipated. When we wake up in the morning (usually earlier than we normally do) the first thing that comes to mind is ... coffee.
